Does the job
I just went to my first hide bag after playing a synthetic for 10+ years and this was the moisture control system my pipe major recommended. I had used a Ross system for the past 10 years, which did a great job, had no complaints, but now going with a hide bag I had to get something that wouldn't get in the way of seasoning...and this one does. It's just that one tube connecting to the blow pipe stock and it's just a matter of removing the blowstick to dump out the liquid that accumulates, kinda like playing a horn and how they do it. No biggie...outside water the grass, inside find a garbage can or whatever, and just pour it out. I was amazed the first time (and I was playing for a while) how much liquid it captured (could of been quarter of a cup!) It does a great job (I've yet to find any moisture built up on my drone reeds). I did have to snip off about 1.5 inches of the hose for it to sit a little better in my large bag, but no biggie there either. It works well and I'd recommend it.

Asking the wrong person
I'm not a piper, I'm a drummer. We heard about the product from another person in the band & the general opinion was that it should work well. I can say all packaging was well done, all components appear to be of good quality & this is a present for my son who is a piper.
