Hose (Pipe Band Style)

I had to order new Hose last minute for a performance, and they came so fast even without priority shipping! Will be ordering again!

I first bought these hose over a year ago, but I have become a repeat customer. These hose hold up really well as I am frequent kilt wearer. I really like the length as I feel several other places I have purchased hose are too short. They also last a long time and some of the previous pairs have lasted almost a year.

I usually wear women’s size 7 shoes, I purchased the extra small hose, they are quite small on the foot, should have purchased the small. They are good quality on not very thick, so I can wear them comfortably.

This is my second pair. My other socks (Different brand) were cotton of much lesser quality and did not fit well over my calves. They were also too short to have a nice Roll too over my flashes. These are perfectly sized for me (extra small for a size 8.5 shoe). Very soft and plenty of roll at the top. Really nice kilt hose.

I wear a Kilt daily, not just once in a while. No I don't live in Scotland but in Texas, Austin to be exact. I've been wearing the Pipers from J. Higgins for a couple of year now and I have to say that they are most excellent. I prefer the pipers over normal kilt hose because I don't have to wear garters with them, they're a pain in the ass though I do wear them sometimes. Normally you have a choice of Small, Medium and Large in size but the J. Higgins hose are in shoe sizes and believe me that rocks, additionally I'm old and ugly and the fit, and retain size well enough that I have discarded my support hose I formerly wore, that have killer bang for the buck. Quit wasting your money on over priced Kilt hose that disappoint you and try these, you will be tickled to death. Moon)Dawg pygmypony.net (John's reply: Thanks Moon Dawg! I have multiple colors of these hoses and they just fit and feel right. Great product and price!

I just happen to be a piper, but I would wear these hose regardless. They're comfortable, simple and very good looking...and at a price that can't be beat!

Regardless of how close I trim my toenails I create holes in the toes of these hose. Would suggest some reinforcement in the toe area to mitigate this problem. Otherwise they hold up well.

I wear a 10 1,2 US and ordered the Large and have plenty of room fit very snug around my 15/15 1/2 } calf . will be getting the Air Force blue In the Medium to give it a try fit wise.

Piper Hose- These socks are fabulous. They are better than any other I have in the drawer. All day wear is no problem. They are a joy on my 76-year old feet and legs. Craig
