A beautiful set of pipes!
I've been piping for over 20 years in multiple climates (both the Southeastern US and in the high deserts of western Colorado). Since I now have to contend with a lot of elevation changes, I thought a set of acetyl pipes that could withstand the cold would be great as a "working set" that I could even take camping with me if I wanted to would be appealing. Since I'd been using the same setup for years, I called, and I spoke with was Griffin if memory serves. He was very helpful in answering my questions. I was highly impressed that they got the pipes out together and mailed the same day, even though I placed my order at about 2 in the afternoon. They were very well packed and came in within a few days. It only took very minimal tinkering with the drone reeds to get them sounding great. I really can't tell any difference in the sound between these and my 2 sets of blackwood pipes (I have a set of Shepherds and a set of Kintails). I highly recommend these pipes, and I will definitely be recommending them to students!
